Whether abandoned, surrendered or transported for care, AK Cat & Dog works tirelessly in conjunction with a team of local veterinarians to provide quality care for the most vulnerable and injured. Once stable, animals are placed in experienced foster homes until they are ready to find their families or make the trip home.

Dusty Crop hopper

Dusty barely survived a dog attack, then rather than seeking help, some one locked him in a crate and threw it into the woods. Fortunately a good Samaritan out walking his dogs heard his meowing, found the crate and brought Dusty to AK Cat & Dog.

After multiple surgeries to remove an eye, and repair multiple skull and jaw fractures, Dusty is thriving in his new home!
